Tea Party Archives: Cherishing CMCH’s Annual Tradition
Each year, the CMCH Mother’s Tea Party is a milestone event that captures the excitement and dedication of our primary-aged students. The younger children eagerly anticipate the moment when they, too, will take part, watching in admiration as their older siblings fully immerse themselves in this event. From the setup to the final presentation, every detail is meticulously crafted by the students, transforming the space into a professionally curated event. If your child has participated previously, you have felt the buzz of excitment and anticipation in them at home!
Months of preparation go into the Mother’s Tea Party, with children engaging in deep research, artistic expression, and hands-on event planning. The celebration includes stunning decor, intricate art displays, and engaging presentations from each class, making it a true culmination of their hard work and creativity.
A Look Back at Previous Themes
2020: The Masters of Art – Students showcased the works of great artists such as Vincent van Gogh, bringing their masterpieces to life through their own interpretations and exhibits.

We actually had to host the presentation via Instagram Live due to the pandemic - but the show must go on, right?!
2022: North America – Continuing the theme from the previous year, students highlighted the unique aspects of North American countries, presenting their findings with enthusiasm and creativity.
2023: Outer Space – This cosmic theme took Moms on an interstellar journey, with an unforgettable DIY planetarium created by Morah NaImah that brought the wonders of space to life.
2024: The World of Artists – Featuring the works of Boris Nezbo, Henri Matisse, and Yayoi Kusama, students explored different artistic styles, presenting stunning displays inspired by these renowned creators.
Get Excited: Tea in the Treetops
This year, our Mother’s Tea Party will take guests on an exploration of the world’s famous rainforests. Each class will delve into a different rainforest, uncovering its rich biodiversity, cultural significance, and breathtaking beauty. This theme ties into a deeper appreciation of the environment and the interconnectedness of all creation, making it a truly meaningful experience for students and parents alike.
As we prepare for another unforgettable celebration, we can’t wait to see how our students bring Tea in the Treetops to life.
