Previewing and Preparing for Pesach!
Pesach is around the corner, and our classrooms are buzzing with excitement as we dive into learning and hands-on activities!
Let’s take a glimpse into how some of the classes are preparing for Pesach:
In the Friendly Frogs, students have jumped right into the Pesach story—acting it out, exploring the meaning of chametz, and discovering the three important steps we take before Pesach begins. They’ve also been busy studying the Seder plate, learning why each item has a special place at the table. The excitement is building as they get ready to create their very own Haggadahs and Pesach gifts!
Over in the Busy Bees, the class is busy bringing the Pesach story to life. They’ve started creating a mural of Moshe in the Nile River, making the story feel even more real. As they learn about Pesach preparations—like cleaning and searching for chametz—they’re also gearing up for exciting art projects!
Morah Jae explains the Laughing Ladybug’s comprehensive Pesach curiculum: “To enrich this learning experience, we’ve also incorporated some general studies elements, focusing on the geography of the story's setting. This week, we took a look at a map of Africa, highlighting Egypt and the Nile River. The children were fascinated to see how many countries border the Nile River. A particularly popular activity was building pyramids! We believe that connecting stories with real-world geography and hands-on activities helps children learn and retain information in a engaging way!”
