Classroom Chronicles: Diving Right Back into School!
After a refreshing Sukkot break, the children jumped right back into school! Over the past two weeks, we’ve explored the story of creation, enjoyed crisp fall mornings outdoors, and welcomed some wonderful parent visitors. It’s been a joy to reconnect and dive back into our routine!
Autumn Adventures! The children have been making the most of the beautiful fall weather, exploring leaves, acorns, and all the wonders of the season. From crisp morning walks to hands-on learning about the changes in nature, they’re discovering fall through every sense. It’s been a perfect blend of outdoor fun and seasonal learning
We've had some special moments these past weeks with parent visitors, surprise 'Mystery Readers' (sign up in the Parent Portal - the kids love it!), and several joyful birthday celebrations for our students. It’s been wonderful to share these meaningful occasions together as a school community!
Our Montessori work cycles are back in full rhythm! The children have seamlessly returned to their purposeful work, engaging in Practical Life exercises, Sensorial exploration, and refining their fine motor skills with activities like pouring, sorting, and lacing. Each task supports concentration, independence, and self-mastery, helping them build essential skills through hands-on discovery and joyful repetition.
Our toddler classrooms are embracing the Montessori approach more than ever! Thanks to our new Montessori Toddler Team Lead Morah Jessica (Darling Ducklings), we’re integrating additional Montessori-inspired activities into daily routines, fostering independence and focus in our youngest learners. This increased consistency across classrooms is helping smooth transitions and ensuring each child feels confident as they grow and move through each stage.
…and of course we are loving our new CMCH merch (sorry we had to 😉)! Seriously, how cute are they?
